Celebrating our past. Heralding our future.

Bottled to mark the historic laying of the distillery’s foundation stone in January 2017, Highland Inspiration pays tribute to Dingwall's rich whisky production past, and celebrates our whisky distilling future.

Overview

The first edition of Highland Inspiration was a limited batch of 1,600 bottles of Highland single malt whisky, carefully selected and bottled for GlenWyvis to mark laying of the distillery’s inaugural keystone.

The community of Dingwall is heir to a long and illustrious whisky history that stretches back to the time of Jacobite rebellion and the original Ferintosh Distillery. The closure of the distillery in the late 18th century moved Robert Burns to lament its passing – and we continue to celebrate these historic foundations, taking inspiration from the characters and stories that shape our local whisky culture.

Tasting Notes

  • Nose

Vanilla, toffee, fudge and some subtle peach with a little malt barley.

  • Mouth

Caramel, citrus, marzipan, fresh apricot and sweet honey. Add a teardrop of water to bring out more of the creamy vanilla and a buttery feel.

  • Finish

The sweetness fades and leaves a refreshing and clean taste reminiscent of a freshly sliced fruit salad.

I have chosen five quality casks as a Highland Inspiration which I believe will closely resemble the future style of GlenWyvis Single Malt
