Due to popular demand, we have made brought back our gold medal winning Christmas Spiced Gin!
This limited edition Scottish craft gin has been matured in a mix of sherry, first fill, and refill hogsheads, hand-picked by our Master Distiller, to add some welcome winter warmth. Made in Dingwall using nine botanicals, this spiced gin is characterised by seasonal flavours of cinnamon and rich dried fruits.
Please note this gin is unfiltered, so some natural particles may remain.

Tasting Notes
Nose
The first revelation here is that there is certainly a lot going on in the glass. Layer after layer of fruits, botanicals and oak wood demonstrate the complex yet careful artistry that has crafted this one-of-a-kind gin. You’d be forgiven for asking yourself if a gin can smell smooth. This one does! Our Master Distiller describes our house style of GoodWill gin as London Dry with a Highland Twist. And GoodWill Christmas Spiced Gin is an outstanding example of the twist. Distilled through ‘Heather’ our 4.8 metre high gin still, this is an indulgent spirit that has been carefully cask-finished; first in a Refill Hogshead and then in an Oloroso Sherry Firkin – and the complex aromas tell that full story!
Palate
Sipping neat you get the flavours of stewed and festive glazed fruits. You will find no bite on the tongue; just like a fine malt the roof of the mouth is coated with what feels like honey. Now, add a splash of Mediterranean Tonic water and ice to cool. The clean and crisp zest of our house gin takes the back seat and allows for the rich dried fruits and the relaxed stewed fruits to come to the fore. There is a pleasant, subtle wood tannin that comes through from the cask maturation and this adds another rich layer.
Finish
Just when you think you have discovered its true essence there is one final twist set to reveal itself. Various spices bring seasoning and zing to the finish – with Cinnamon the standout flavour. A final flourish of spice brings your mind back to the craft that has brought you this Christmas GoodWill – the increased Cinnamon composition, the Coriander, the Orris Root and Angelica Root, and, of course, the Oloroso cask finish.
