GlenWyvis News for September 2017

Kim McAllister joins GlenWyvis

Kim under the still

This week we welcomed a new team member, Kim McAllister. Thanks to our latest share offer, we have been able to bring in Kim as our social media strategist. We'll let her tell you a bit about herself.

I am so chuffed to be working on such a unique project!

I'm a trained journalist who set up my own business, Impact Online, nearly eight years ago, so to get my teeth into a role with such a wealth of amazing content is really exciting for me.

I had actually been following the GlenWyvis story with great interest before I got involved. I find the whisky industry fascinating, I used to write about it a lot in my days working for Scottish Licensed Trade News.

To see a field turn into a distillery in only two years kind of blows my mind. The fact it's only happening because hundreds of people have put their hands in their pockets is just incredible. It makes me very proud. We Scots are an entrepreneurial bunch, aren't we - and that attracts like-minded people from around the world.

I'm looking forward to telling the story across all our channels - Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and, of course, the website. You might see me pop up in the odd video or picture and you'll probably hear my voice on the podcast we're launching shortly.

I really hope you'll get involved - as a community benefit society GlenWyvis is the sum of its parts, and that means everyone's opinion and feedback matters. If you want to appear in our videos, write blog posts for us, or even just share and comment on our posts, just get in touch.
