The GoodWill Fund

Our 100% community-owned distillery is delighted to announce the launch of the GoodWill Fund, created by the GlenWyvis Community Benefit Society. There are three elements to the fund; education, culture, and entrepreneurship. Please see each specific fund outlined at the bottom of this page. 

Currently we are accepting applications from within the following post-code areas: IV15 – Dingwall town; IV6– Muir of Ord; IV7– Conon Bridge and Maryburgh; IV14 – Strathpeffer and IV16 – Evanton

Applications are invited from 17th January 2023. The closing date is Friday 3rd March 2023. All applicants will be advised of the outcome within six weeks of the closing date. Please send any questions about the GoodWill Fund to goodwillfund@glenwyvis.com

Educational
Fund

To provide equipment to children whose education would suffer without such provision. The award can be up to £400. To apply for this fund, download and email the completed application form to

Fund

FAQ

How much can I apply for?
You can apply to the Cultural and Entrepreneurial Fund up to a maximum of £2,500, and the Educational Fund up to a maximum of £400 per student.

Can people apply as a group for a larger sum? e.g. 5 pupils doing an art course
Groups or clubs applying for the Educational Fun can pool resources for something like a training course for more than one person. The Cultural and Entrepreneurial Fund are capped at £2,500 per application.

When is the closing date?
All applications must be received by Friday 3rd March, 2023.

When will I hear if I have been successful?
You will hear within 6 weeks of the closing date whether you have been successful or not.

How is the decision made?
The decision is made by an elected group who form the GoodWill Committee and are not employed by the Distillery. The decision of the committee is final.

If my proposal is rejected can I revise it and apply again?
Yes, if your proposal is unsuccessful you can ask for feedback and rewrite your application to submit when the next round of funding is open. We expect to have at least 2 more rounds of funding throughout 2023/24.

If successful how and when will I receive the funds?
The funds will be made by bank transfer within one week of our decision being made.

Is my application confidential?
Yes, your application is confidential, and no details will be made public. If you have been successful, we may contact you about potential media opportunitues for your organisation.
