Own a Cask from GlenWyvis Distillery
Become a part of our whisky adventure with your very own cask of GlenWyvis Whisky. Our New Make Spirit is produced using locally grown, locally malted barley and crystal clear water from the onsite borehole.
At GlenWyvis, we use a varied mix of cask types and sizes to impart different influences on our spirit. Every cask is unique, chosen to compare or contrast the sweet, fruity flavour of our distillery character and eventually create a perfectly balanced single malt whisky.
Your own cask will be left to rest for up to 10 years in our cool, traditional dunnage warehouse here in the Highlands.
We are now booking in first-half 2024 fillings, with cask types depending on availability.

1st Fill Bourbon Barrel

A cask that previously held Bourbon whiskey, brand based on availability. This cask holds approximately 200 bulk litres of new make spirit.
New American Oak Barrel
£4,350
A brand new, charred barrel made from American white oak. This cask holds approximately 200 bulk litres of new make spirit.
1st Fill Sherry Hogshead
£5,500
A cask that previously held sherry, typically Oloroso or Pedro Ximénez based on availability. This cask holds approximately 250 bulk litres of new make spirit.
1st Fill Madeira Barrique
A cask that previously held Madeira, a baked fortified wine from islands of the same name. This cask holds approximately 225 bulk litres.
1st Fill Port Barrique
A cask that previously held port. Tawny or Ruby based on availability. This cask holds approximately 225 bulk litres of new make spirit.
1st Fill Rum Barrel
£4,250
A standard sized barrel that was previously used for aging dark rum. This cask holds approximately 200 bulk litres of new make spirit.
2nd Fill GlenWyvis Barrel
£3,850
Previously held GlenWyvis Single Malt for at least 3 years. Approximately 200 bulk litres of new make spirit.
Small Casks
Most cask types can also be remade into smaller varieties, typically quarters (approx. 125 bulk litres) or octaves/firkins (approx. 55 bulk litres).

Our New Make Spirit
Nose
Fragrant, with lavender, marshmallows, Weetabix and a mildly savoury note.
Mouth
Muscular, sweet and buttery, with digestive biscuits.
Finish
Relatively long, spicy, with an elegant fruity feeling. Pleasingly robust and very drinkable!
